In - class Mini Meeting
Today we had a short mini meeting after class in order to touch base with one another. Cici called the Scotts Valley Church that needs volunteers to bag goodies. They called me back and told me some things that I will share with most of you next week. We discovered that we can volunteer for that as well as raise money for the Heifer we want to buy for a family in Africa, YAY! Everyone's happy. We got approved for our bakesale on Monday December 1st and will bake Sunday night. The bakers will be me, Cici, Norma and Char. We will also do our poster that evening. Brittani is supposed to find out about donated food from Gayle's, Hoffman's, and the Buttery.

Great Meeting Everyone!
Thank you all who attended,
The meeting was very productive and successful! We came up with some essential ground rules and decided to name a chairman every meeting to keep the group focused while giving everyone a chance to maintain control. So, for next time... Cici needs to find out the details about the Scotts Valley donation place, we need to ask Tony to set a school bake sale for Dec 1st and Brittani needs to find out about possible donations.

+have an agenda, 1hr meetings
+everyone participates equally
+avoid conflict=be professional, get along and communicate one on one w/ person, excuse yourself
+no cell phones or texting
+take turns speaking
+class/meetings mandatory call or email prior to class/meetings to let us know if you cant come
+follow through w/ responsibilities…be accountable
+be nice--no name calling--be positive--be resonant

+mon. Dec 1st 9AM-3PM [pending approval from cabrillo]

+cici: rolling pin
+char: cookie sheet, baking soda

+kristina: whipped cream, choc chips

First meeting for our 2nd half
SO WE HELD A FEW BAKE SALES AND RAISED $658.12 TOTAL. WHAT A SUCCESS! AND THE BOWL A THON WAS VERY FUN :)
WE PRESENTED OUR POWER POINT PRESENTATION AND GOT AN A!!! ANOTHER SUCCESS!
NOW WE ARE ON TO PART 2 OF THIS CLASS. WE ARE NOT DONE YET- SO GET PUMPED! THIS IS A FRESH START. WE WILL ASSESS EACH OTHER AGAIN AT THE END OF THIS SEMESTER FOR THIS 2ND CHUNK SO THIS IS A CHANCE TO IMPROVE YOUR GRADE AND RELATIONSHIP W/ OTHER TEAM MEMBERS. WE WERE VERY SUCCESSFUL IN RAISING LOTS OF MONEY AND GETTING AN A ON THE PRESENTATION!!!! HOWEVER, WE HAD SOME CONFLICTS, FLAKINESS AND SOME DISORGANIZATION. IMAGINE WHAT WE COULD DO IF WE ELIMINATED THOSE ISSUES, AND REALLY WORKED TOGETHER AS A TEAM? WE WILL SUCCEED AND ENJOY ITS BENEFITS. INSPIRING? OH YES.
OUR NEXT MEETING WILL BE HELD AT KRISTINA'S HOUSE THIS SUN. @ 6PM. PLEASE RSVP IF FOR SOME (UNGODLY) REASON YOU CANT SHOW UP FOR THIS MANDATORY MEETING.
COME TO THE MEETING W/ $7 TO REIMBURSE KRISTINA FOR PIE SUPPLIES. ALSO- WRITE DOWN 5-10 NEW RULES WE SHOULD HAVE FOR PART 2 OF THIS CLASS FOR OUR GROUP. WE WILL PUT ALL IDEAS IN A HAT TO KEEP IT ANONYMOUS AND DECIDE WHICH SHOULD BE INSTATED.
LASTLY-PLEASE COME TO MEETING IN A GOOD MOOD IF POSSIBLE. MOST OF US HAVE LOTS OF THINGS WE'D RATHER BE DOING, BUT SINCE WE ARE A TEAM AND WE ALL WANT A GOOD GRADE IN THIS CLASS, TRY AND MAKE THIS GO AS SMOOTHLY AS POSSIBLE. LET'S STAY FOCUSED AND ON TOPIC. LETS TRY TO KEEP OUR PERSONAL LIVES OUT OF THE GROUP (SINCE WE ARE WHAT SKYE CALLS "CO-WORKERS") SO WE CAN GET MORE WORK DONE. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
